Review: The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale

Title: The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale
Author: Christine Bell
Publisher: Carina Press
Goodreads | Amazon | Powells
I received an advanced digital copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher to review. This is my honest opinion.

Description (from Carina Press):
I'm a time pirate—born in 1810, now a 21st-century woman. I travel through time trying to right wrongs without disrupting the fragile balance between what is and what can never be.
That's why it's vital that I go to 1836 and find the man who conned my brother out of his Time Travel Mechanism as quickly as possible. If the technology falls into the wrong hands, it could change the world as we know it. The notorious Duke of Leister definitely qualifies as the wrong hands. An amateur scientist of the slightly mad variety, he's bound to figure out how to use the TTM sooner rather than later.
I knew this wouldn't be easy. But I wasn't counting on him being as sexy as hell. Or winding up chained to his bed...
My Review:

Whoa, sexy!

I didn't see this one coming! Sure, I knew there would be some time travel, a love interest, and an adventure, but this was so different from what I was expecting. It was also funny, erotic, and engaging!

The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale is so different from anything else I've ever read. It's quirky and fun, but also hot! This book is definitely for a mature audience! Let's just say that there really wasn't anything left to the imagination ...

The Twisted Tale of Stormy Gale is a pretty quick read, at only 25,900 words. That, and I didn't want to put it down! If I had one negative thing to say about this book it would be that I wish it were longer. I would have loved this as a longer, more developed novel!

I have to mention the cover of this book! It's so unique. I love it! The title is fabulous too! Both are perfect for this little story.

I'd definitely recommend this book to adult readers looking for something a little different. I believe it's only available as an e-book. At under $3, it's totally worth it!

  2. LOL!! I just got the word count from the publisher's website. Since it's an e-book, it doesn't have a number of pages, so I listed the word count. :)
