Recommend A… book with a bad boy
I'm going to cheat a little bit, and recommend a whole series!
from goodreads:
St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger...
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever.
Man, was this series amazing! Honestly, when I read the first book I wasn't all that impressed... but I had heard it was good, so I continued. It's now one of my most favorite series! It was good. Don't judge this series by the first book, or the covers for that matter (I can't stand the cover for the first book).
I picked this series for Adrian! I don't usually care for the "bad boy", but I love Adrian. I know he doesn't show up right away, but you kind of have to read them all to understand what's going on, so I picked all six books.
My sister loves these books and I have yet to read them but I love me a bad boy so maybe I will pick it up!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely do! :)
DeleteI'm behind on these! Now I need to catch up. I think maybe bad boys need a whole series to actually be likeable...
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you said that! I thought maybe I was the only person on this Earth that didn't really care all that much for the first book, which has actually kept me from reading the rest of the series. I just couldn't understand what all the hype was about when I wasn't all that impressed with the first. But, maybe I'll have to give the next book a try now. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Recommend A... post!

The other book only got 3 out of 5 stars... it was just ok. I would not have read any more, except a friend kept telling me it got better. It really does! I love Dimitri.
DeleteSo many people have told me to read this book, and my friend Patricia just keeps reminding me to read them, haha. I'll *have* to try them out, but it's good to know that the first book might not grab my attention, but that it gets better. Thanks for the advice!
ReplyDeleteMy recommend a ... book with a bad boy post.
you're welcome!! I don't think you'll regret it. By the third book, it is awesome.
