Title Reveal: John Green's New Book!

If you've been following John Green lately, whether on Twitter or Youtube, you know that he's been waiting to tell us the name of his new book (it was still being decided). Today he finally got the go ahead to let us fans know! The new title?

The Fault in Our Stars

Pretty neat, huh? This is what John says about the title:

The title is inspired by a famous line from Shakespeare’s play Julius Caesar. The nobleman Cassius says to Brutus, “The fault, dear Brutus is not in our stars, / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.”

Every copy of The Fault in Our Stars (the American version) that is pre-ordered will be hand signed by John, personally! Every single book, from every single bookseller. 

I think that is such an awesome thing to do for all of the nerdfighters who can't see him in person to get their books signed. I will most definitely be ordering one for myself. French the llama, I'm excited!

He just announced the book's title today, and already it has hit #1 on amazon! It's pretty awesome what book loving nerdfighters can do!

 My Review:

I am a big fan of John and Hank Green's Youtube channel, The Vlogbrothers, so I was nervous about reading John Green's writing; I didn't want anything tarnishing my love for them!

The verdict:

I adored Paper Towns!

It's a clever and quirky story that has a very organic feel to it. The characters and their flaws were so real. And the message in this book? Fantastic.

I thought maybe the ending would leave me unsatisfied, but it didn't. The last paragraph is perfection.

The name Margo Roth Spiegelman will forever be stuck in my brain, like a catchy commercial jingle.

I highly recommend this book. I think that this story is enjoyable on many different levels, and therefor a wide gamut of people could find things to love about this story.

In My Mailbox is a meme that is hosted by The Story Siren. It's a fun way to share what books we got for the week.

I bought a few books this week:

Isn't this cover so pretty? I'm not usually into photoshopped eyes, but i think this cover is stunning. I found a used copy in pristine condition. Score! They had a shimmery copy also. It was hard to pass up, but the copy I got was cheaper and still really pretty.

Now, these next two I am super excited about! I have recently discovered the Vlogbrothers on youtube. They are so funny and awesome! One of them is author John Green, and the other is his brother, Hank Green. I am totally a nerdfighter now. If you have no idea what I am talking about, then you should go check them out. Here is a FAQ video they made kind of explaining who they are and stuff:

So anyways, I bought two of John Green's books this week. Best part? I got these two on sale! Yay! I had to dig through the books to find a couple of books not all beat up, but totally worth it.
