I had seen this book all over, but hadn't really heard about it much. I actually really liked it! If you like paranormal stories, than I recommend picking this one up. I just read the second book, and it was awesome; Even better than the first!

Yep, this is the book that's the show TrueBlood is based off of. My mother-in-law is the one who actually recommended this book to me. In fact, she sent me the whole box set a couple years ago for Mother's day! Isn't she awesome? This book is such a good guilty pleasure read. If you like paranormal stuff and you haven't given this series a try, I totally recommend you do!

This book was fantastic! I saw lots of other people recommending it, so I gave it a try. Wow! So, so good. It was self published, too (which means you can find it cheap for your e-reader!). 

The only downside is that the second book in the series won't be out until sometime in 2013. If it's anywhere near as good as this one it will totally be worth the wait!

I read very few books written by male authors. I think I just generally connect better with female protagonists, and those are usually written by, well, females. I've already recommended John Green a couple times, so I thought I'd go with someone different. 

This book has a pretty neat storyline to it. There's a part in it where Karsten tells us the history of all the other major characters in the book. Each person was totally different, and I loved reading about them... I guess it gave a way to connect to them on a deeper level. 

Plus, this book has one of my favorite book covers of all time; I just LOVE it.

I'm loving the newer covers for these books! I have the old covers for book one and two. I think the old covers fit the story better, but this is just so pretty!

White Cat was such a different book! Really, just such a unique story. The world that Holly Black has created here is so fascinating. If you're looking for something new, I'd highly suggest picking up White Cat!

I don't read a whole lot of contemporary,  but I really liked this book. I thought it was funny and original. Can't go wrong with John Green.

I don't read a whole lot of books that I'd classify as funny, but this one definitely was! I really need to read the next two books in this series.

 Oh gosh... this book! This. Book. Just wow. John Green has such a poetic way with words. There were so many quotable moments in The Fault in Our Stars! I giggled and I bawled. There was just so much to this story! I just don't even have words.

 I haven't had the chance to review all of them on here (I don't think), but this was a cute series. It's a pretty quick read, and it's about the fae, which is one of my favorite topics! Plus, the covers are sooo pretty! Especially in person.

Man, was this series amazing! Honestly, when I read the first book I wasn't all that impressed... but I had heard it was good, so I continued.  It's now one of my most favorite series! It was good. Don't judge this series by the first book, or the covers for that matter (I can't stand the cover for the first book).


I picked this series for Adrian! I don't usually care for the "bad boy", but I love Adrian. I know he doesn't show up right away, but you kind of have to read them all to understand what's going on, so I picked all  six books.

The Poison Diaries | Maryrose Wood

This book was so different! I really enjoyed the way Wood wrote, and the storyline was so unique! I really love the cover too. This is definitely worth a try if you're looking for something off the beaten path.
